It’s A Kid’s World ~ McCall Winter Carnival

The McCall Winter Carnival is fun for the whole family. With over 200 scheduled events spread out over 10 days, you’re sure to find something of interest. From a Mardi Gras like parade, fireworks over Lake Payette to a Harry Leg Contest at the Yacht Club on “Service Industry Night”.

Take in one of three dog sled races, snow bike races, a snowmobile fun run, or 1 of 13 live music performances over the 10-day festival

McCall’s Winter Carnival is really a feast for the eyes and a shot of adrenaline for the senses!  Between the Mardi Gras like parade and sensational snow sculptures, there’s a 10-day calendar full of frolicking fun events!! 

With over 200 events scheduled in this three-block town, McCall will be bursting at the seams for this mid-winter ruckus.  Inspired out of boredom in the 1920s when residents put together a mid-winter event to combat the dreary cold doldrums of winter.  The McCall Winter Carnival was first held in the 1960s, and this year it’s a 10-day menu full of fun for the whole family.       

The McCall Winter Carnival is known as a Celebration of All Things Winter, and every year takes on a new theme.  This year’s McCall Winter Carnival theme is, “It’s A Kid’s World.”

With plenty of activities to choose each day from comedy shows, monster dog-sled pulls, karaoke, bingo, theatrical plays, Olympic figure skating shows to snow bike and snowmobile races.  Along with downhill ski racing and three dog-sled races.  A children’s torchlight parade.  Even a BSU vs USC hockey game. 

With thirteen live music performances, a nationally recognized snow sculpture competition, award-winning firework display, a spectacular parade, a McCall Winter Carnival Pageant Award, and closing ceremonies this is one winter carnival you won’t want to miss!

The McCall Winter Carnival is a family orientated environment home to hundreds of events that create memories for you and your whole for years to come!  Don’t miss out on the amazing activities from snow sports, food, art, crafts, ice hockey, snow sculptures, parades, fireworks and of course live music!
